Each year the Legacy Award recognizes a company and an individual that have provided outstanding support to those affected by epilepsy in Northeast Ohio and support of the Epilepsy Association. This year’s Legacy Award honorees were The Katherine and Lee Chilcote Foundation & Marc D. Winkelman, M.D., Neurologist at the MetroHealth Medical Center. A special Emerald Award was also be presented to the late Robert J. Maciunas, M.D. (1955-2011), vice chair of neurological surgery at University Hospitals for his achievements in epilepsy.
